It sounds like you are looking for the list of all fault MSG-ID that
can be produced - is that correct?
We do have an internal registry of all ereports, faults and what
combinations of faults can be diagnosed in a single suspect list
(it's the last aspect which leads to the MSG-ID - the fault
classes in the class list contribute as keys to work out
a MSG-ID).
That registry is not published externally. We need to find some
way to publish aspects of it that meet the various requirements
on all sides. Most of it is far from being sensitive information,
so in most respects this is a question of finding time to set this
up.
One aspect we have been keen to stress is that the events and the
fault codes are not a stable public interface that can be baked
in to external products with any expectation of them not being
broken by changes we make. It's for that reason that we've
not published lists of fault code, although you can dig most
of them up from the OpenSolaris source base. It's been said
a number of times that this does not suit the requirements of
all users in terms of their external monitoring software,
operator documentation, and so on.
Hope that helps a bit. If you have a specific need let us know
and we can provide some pointers.
Cheers
Gavin
