Nikunj,
The message associated with SUN4U-8001-1E is designed to give the one
and only solution to fix the problem seen by our diagnosis software
based upon the error symptoms (reports) generated by the system. The
problem is that the CPU module is broken due to the observance of a
level 3 cache tag fault as seen from the fmdump output:
# fmdump -v -u 4f5d5919-2da0-ef25-b2a2-d1c433f2f832
TIME UUID SUNW-MSG-ID
May 26 14:14:55.7126 4f5d5919-2da0-ef25-b2a2-d1c433f2f832 SUN4U-8001-1E
100% fault.cpu.ultraSPARC-IVplus.l3cachetag
FRU: hc:///component=SB16
rsrc: mem:///component=SB16/P2/E0,J6400
There is no need for the admin to scan through the error log as our
diagnosis software has already done that for you.
In AIX, this is a time-consuming manual process for system admins who
must issue additional commands (i.e. 'errpt') to determine what the
problem and resolution are.
