Cool stuff.  I haven't finished going over it all, but I did notice one typo:

In section 2.4, in the bottom right table cell:

"indicates whether or not the alert cache should automatically to the resolved state..."

It also looks like section 4.1 could use some formatting ("Ambient air ...")?.  I can't really follow this section.
