I'm pleased to announce the creation of the Sensor Abstraction Layer 
project.  This project has been endorsed by the Fault Management 
community and proposes extensions to the fault management architecture 
(FMA) to support a sensor abstraction layer for the collection and 
analysis of sensor based telemetry.  For more information, please refer
