Hi Ryan,

It's still just in the planning and early prototype stage at this 
point.  One of the things I've been working on is a document that takes 
Cindi's original design doc and attempts to distill it into a more 
concrete summary of changes and deliverables that would be necessary to 
make what we're calling phase 1 a reality.  I'm hoping that I can get 
that doc refined to the point that I could post it to the Sensor 
Abstraction Layer project page in a couple weeks.

At this point, I won't venture a guess as to when something of beta 
quality would be available on opensolaris.org.  However, in the interest 
of open development, we could explore making code snapshots available on 
the project page earlier.
