Hi Prasad,
Indic input methods were added in the S10 timeframe and was
primarily focused towards CDE applications. (Even
some of the private area mappings in the Saraswati font were used for
some character combinations). These were not
tested with Gnome applications much (mostly because Pango, the gnome
layout engine had many bugs in Indic locales
and we never had requirements to look into Indic locale issues)
Pl. file bugs on the issues you find. Someone will look into those.
