I think Dermot from i18n-discuss might be able to identify that for you. By the way, there is /usr/X11/bin/xorgcfg that you might want to check out. If you don't find the layout you want, you can always contribute the layout and we can have them in OpenSolaris/Solaris in no time. Please let us know if you want to do that (after it is indeed found that there is no Polish Programmer keyboard layout). Ienup > Hi, > > I have installed Solaris Express 12/06. + Tip of the Trade: Nexenta + | + ServerWatch + | + 10/31/2006 +

+

When Sun released Solaris under an open-source license and began distributing the binary edition free of cost, millions of users downloaded it. Some estimates claims as many as 10 million downloads so far. As nice as Solaris is, though, users accustomed to Linux or FreeBSD found it lacking in several key areas: system management and other useful utilities, a friendly interface and dependency-resolving installers. The cries of "oh, if only Solaris had the GNU toolchain, a friendly installer, all those thousands of great Linux applications, Linux's great hardware support, and Debian's aptitude, it would be perfect."

Beginning with Solaris 10, Sun Microsystems rearranged the development and licensing processes surrounding its flagship operating system to better tap the sort of community participation that has helped lift Linux fairly quickly to prominence. The result was OpenSolaris.

+ Nexenta combines OpenSolaris, GNU, and Ubuntu + | + Linux.com + | + 10/13/2006 +

+

What do you get when you combine OpenSolaris, the GNU utilities, and Ubuntu? Nexenta -- a GNU-based open source operating system built on top of the OpenSolaris kernel and runtime. I took the Alpha 5 release out for a spin to see how well it's progressing. It might sound like an odd combination, but after more than a year of development, it actually works well, and is shaping up to be a very interesting operating system.

Sun Microsystems announced that it has expanded its Campus Ambassador Program to 170 universities in 30 countries. The expansion greatly increases the program's ability to help improve student, research and faculty access to free training and tools for today's newest software technologies. This initiative is the latest in Sun's drive to provide academic developers with the educational tools and resources they need to cultivate important IT skills, participate in today's global economy, and contribute to the innovation of new technologies.

Sometime ago Chris Rijk sent me a reference to an OpenSolaris discussion on "Solaris Viruses." Since there aren't any, the discussion is short and pointed - but included something I think ought to be cited in future dictionaries trying to define the term "wry" as in wry humour or wry commentary.
