With this approach the current lists are unaffected and it should also be ok to proceed with an indic mailing list creation. I think this is a great set of applications and I'd like to forward this to one of the leaders for a possible evaluation and also inclusion in one way or another at OSo in source code form (if that's ever possible). If you could appoint a leader with postal mailing address, I'd like to send the package. Please let me know. This is just a background on why I was suggesting g11n-hi-discuss. We have been using ISO 639 based two-letter language code for mailing list names. Historically "in" was for Indonesian although it has been changed to "id" quite long time ago. I absolutely wouldn't and couldn't have any problem having IN (India) two-letter ISO 3166 territory code instead at the g11n-in-discuss mailing list name for the Indic community/group for obvious reasons.
