[gnu-sol-discuss] glib install problem

Hi,
I am trying to install glib package but the installation failed because the existing package (early version) has the same instance name. The error I got is

Current administration requires that a unique instance of the <SMCglib> package be created. However, the maximum number of instances of the package which may be supported at one time on the same system has already been met.

I'd like to install the new package without uninstall the old one if possible. What do I need to do?
