Hi ,
    What your see is correct.  You are using the make from GNU. One of
the things which Solaris companion CD or Blastwave.org does is, all
the GNU commands are replaced with prefix 'g'. If you compile or
install from SunFreeware.com it will not be prefixed with 'g' . Sun
specific make can be found at /usr/ccs/bin/make
