In my case I am using snv_b67, the nvvidia driver, the nv driver that that was used as a default before snv_65 was the nv driver, and it only had the three resolutions of 1024x768, 800x600 and 640x480 and it was a pain on my Asus N2NPV-VM MB built in nvida 6150 graphics on a KDS K917 LCD monitor, and gnome-display-properties program under gnome works for the newer nvidia driver for resolutions of: 1280x1024, 1280x960, 1152x864, 1024x768, 960x600, 832x624 , 800x600, 640x480, the only one that does not work is 900x600, the monitor say's mode not supported, I have it set for 64m of memory allocated for graphics in the bios. if you want to submit a RFE the URL is http://bugs.opensolaris.org/ to Report a bug or RFE to request a feature link by providing the following output of the commands: uname -a, prtconf -pv , /usr/X11/bin/scanpci -v, /var/log/Xorg.log.0 and /var/adm/messages file. FOr a current list of graphics apear in /usr/openwin/share/etc/devdata/SUNWaccel/boards for the snv build, the list does change as drivers seem to be fixed and or enhanced from what I have seen over time..
