Description
----------------
Present day HPC developers have no one stop shop for HPC tools and
systems on opensolaris. They must download and install tools and systems
from different sites. Installation procedures vary from product to
product. Documentation discusses only their own products but not how to
configure or integrate them together. The HPC Intgerated Developer Stack
project goal intends to bring together an integrated development
environment with HPC cluster/grid systems making the installation and
configuration as automated and easy as possible. To start this stack
will bring together several Sun products configured to work together.
Documentation and instructions will cover how these products work
together with select examples and starter projects to get the HPC
developer productive in as short a time as possible. It will then
integrate in the best opensource tools available ported to opensolaris.

HPC Stack intends to provide initial releases to work with opensolaris
and Solaris 10 with the intended goal being the Indiana distribution
format.
