Thanks very much for your feedback.
I think upgrading would be quite big a thing for just getting the right fonts. 
Can I get xorg based xvfb for sparc system? 
My system is solaris 10 3/05, Is there a way that i can use Type1 unicode fonts? What could be the way that I get scalable unicode fonts of any type for solaris, truetype is not necessary?

Can't i add a ttmap.dir entry for source and target to be iso10646 and then get a iso10646-1.ttmap file?

Also can you tell me what does the entry "TO-ENCODING unicode" mean in ttmaps.dir file.

Can't there be a way out of this? I think there might be a way, but my experience and knowledge is not that much with X server encoding files.
