No, Currently, I do not think we need move closed fonts path .
For Opensolaris, only free/open fonts have been deliveried currently.  
The purpose of  this project is that make
Nevada and Opensolaris have same path for these fonts.

In the future, if we have plan to delivery closed fonts for Opensolaris. 
We may need consider your suggestion.
