eek .. i've always held that the purpose of /bin/sh is partly  
simplification otherwise
we get into some pretty dense scope creep .. thinking back on the  
root user, at one
time we wanted as few dependencies as possible for the root shell  
hence /sbin/sh
being statically compiled

apart from the neverending korny shell war we seem to be in - i would  
volunteer that
there needs to be a better mind towards Solaris minimization in scope  
for the core pkgs
