"Ignore" can be such a pejorative term.  Yes, a number of people here 
seem to have an inexhaustible interest in discussing shells, but our 
assessment of changing /bin/sh's general importance to the success of 
our efforts doesn't place it high enough to expend resources at this 
time.  If you leave it to "Sun" to do the work you're probably going to 
continue to be disappointed for quite some time.  I'd encourage working 
with Roland and the ksh93 team to sort out the work necessary and 
contribute there.
