Right but since we're talking about the space it takes up on the CD, I
wanted to make sure we're talking about compressed sizes.  The ~7MB is
for just 5.8.4 on the CD.

No, there isn't a need for two versions of Perl 5 at the moment.  The
EOF for 5.6.1 has already been approved so it can be removed at any
time.  In addition to that that, we should upgrade the current 5.8.4
version to 5.8.8.
