Hello all together,
The Indiana community is discussing for a long time now. This is good because all people have to come to the "one road leading to the goal". And the community have to think about the various perspectives regarding a distro which wants to stand for OpenSolaris in the future.
But, I miss an Indiana web site. I miss a code and configuration repository - I know that the Indiana project in the end will "only" put together the products of the appropriate OpenSolaris projects and configure appropriately - . I miss a work plan and a test plan and in general a roadmap.
This is why I ask you now: "Quo vadis"?
If you really want to release in October AND (a logical AND here) Indiana is really a community project then I think you have to start now (meaning in the next one or two weeks). Mr. Murdock knows very well - as the founder of my favorite GNU/Linux distro - what time plans for community projects mean - speak "add some months to the working plan" -. I read 95% of all posts made to the Indiana ML and I think except from some edge themes (for example a graphical layout of the default GNOME screen and similar things) all things are discussed.
a very curious
Gueven
