Just chiming in to underscore the above. Package management
with network-based package repository is, and has been for
far too long, an enormous glaring hole in OpenSolaris. (I'd
even like to see the Indiana project focus all its forces on
*just that one issue* for the initial phase of the project.)

With that in mind, it's great to see Moinak participating
here on indiana-discuss because (Moinak, correct me if I'm
overstating things here) he and Laca (pkgbuild author, and
JDS engineer) are apparently joining forces to attack that
very issue in the form of a project called pkgbase. And that
work fits right into the Indiana project -- both in terms of
common objectives and fortunate timing.
