Good point. What keeps happening (for a month now) is broken-record
syndrome. It goes like this:
"The problem is, Solaris Express today isn't friendly
enough. The solution is obvious, it needs to be phased
out in favor of a more Linux friendly Solaris Express."
That quickly grows to a rally cry. Subsequently a few flesh-and-blood
Nevada engineers surface here for a moment and pose concerns mostly about
execution. Not surprisingly (considering the source of these posts) those
concerns are pretty irrefutable, and as such, go unanswered. The engineer
says to him/herself: "Hmm, ok, I guess that's that", and he/she
un-surfaces. (Which is to say, tunes out indiana-discuss so they can direct
their energies to their regular project work -- but remains on standby until
their insights are needed again.)
- Then, lo and behold, after a little while, the point is repeated here as
if for the 1st time:
"The problem is, Solaris Express today isn't friendly

(repeat ad-nauseum)
