Having it at the end is apt to be maximally confusing. Since the user
will then see gnu behavior for a couple of things, but not all of
things which conflicted with previously existent Solaris
technologies ...

There is a significant "high order bit" to settle, and it's not
really an *installation* question per se (viz. key to Indiana's
identity, but not really germane to caiman (other than as a side
effect ;>)).

Is the fundamental goal of Indiana to just be "solaris.next" or is it
intended to be maximally appealing to the large community of not yet
Solaris users?

Of course, in the end we'll need to minimize the delta between S.next
and Indiana or we're stuck with a fork (which no one seems to want).
