Have you seen Longhorn ?  You can install it as a "reduced core" server in
which all you get is a greenish screen with an xterm looking terminal
session.  In that terminal session there are 80x24 lines of characters with
a command line.  Looks like it was ripped off from someone else from the
late 1970's or maybe even the 1980's.  I think it's called UNIX(tm).

This is sort of waaay OT .. and I somehow fell in.  ick ..
