They are both OpenSolaris code, but Indiana is newer and better... what do you think will happen? :)

I expect they will exist in parallel while old SXCE-bound development processes move to Indiana.  Eventually, once Indiana is mature, SXCE and SXDE (as you know them) today will cease to exist.
