I think the logo breaks a fundamental rule for logos: simplicity.
It also breaks the rule of being recognizable in black-and-white.
Hyperion used to have a logo with 9 circles, some in different
colors.  When you looked at it in black-and-white it lost all
meaning... if you can even agree it had meaning to begin with...
