I fully agree.  The color choice and logo is a throwback from the art world.  It feels like a plot to make it necessary to refresh it every few years (because it will look old and dull to most in a few years).  The pale colors just don't exude excitement and energy -- not leading, but wandering.  I could "enjoy" the logo perhaps with a different color scheme.
