So we will have to put up with the ugly fonts for another 6 months? Most people will get their first, and probably only, impression about Indiana when they try it as a LiveCD, latter packages don't do much good, me afraid.
But perhaps you can at least try to tweak the font options in FF2. My suggestion is, use sans-serif font as default, add and make DejuVu sans as the default font for sans-serif, specify a minimum font size of at least 16, and uncheck the box which allows the web page to choose font. But others may have better ideas. The bottom line is, unless something is done about the fonts, most Windows and Linux users (especially the latter) will be put off by the less-than-pleasant look and feel of FF2 in Indiana. Then we will have cool off for another 6 months before getting psyched up again about Indiana. Of course, Sun is picking up the tab, & we no need to care.
