I am trying to install opensolaris 2008/11 rc2 build on macbook pro. I am
trying to do dual boot on same machine. Installation fails saying :
Couldn't obtain information about geometry of /dev/rdsk/c4d0s2.
Could not crate VTOC target
TI process failed.

# fdisk -G [ output typed from hand ]
Partition Status Type ....
1 EFI
2 Other OS
3 Active Linux Native
4 Active Solaris2

Previously when Partition 4 was not active, I was having error mentioned in
(fdisk -F fails).
http://bugs.opensolaris.org/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6413235

After I made the partition active (from Linux fdisk command), now fdisk
is not able to get partition geometry.
I found some similar issues :
http://monaco.sfbay/detail.jsf?cr=6624133

Mac OS X and Linux are booting fine. I used "diskutil resizeVolume" to shrink
the original partition.

Any suggestion or workaround?

Regards,
Basant.
