James Cornell suggested doing the setuid on the gdm binary.  This is not
correct, don't do that.  Instead do the following:

Install the attached svc-gdm file to /lib/svc/method and give it
555 root:bin permissions.

Install the attached gdm.xml file to
/var/svc/manifest/application/graphical-login and give it
444 root:sys permissions.

Edit the /usr/sbin/gdm script and remove the lines at the end where it calls
dbus-launch and sets the DBUS related environment variables so it
looks like the one attached.

Then you will need to reboot or restart the gdm service.

This should fix GDM so it stops properly when you stop or restart the
gdm SMF service.
