[indiana-discuss] Update policy of the /release repository

Now that 2008.11 has been released are there any news regarding
the update policy of the /release repository, i.e. what kind of
bugs and security vulnerabilities will be fixed for /release?
For reference, we had discussed this back in October (see [1])
but at the time it had not been decided yet.
There are already requests for backports of bugfixes [2][3], and
2008.11 includes releases of Firefox and Thunderbird which have
several critical security vulnerabilities. Some clarifications on
this matter would be appreciated.
