thanks for your kind words.

Getting OpenSolaris on a usb stick should be relatively easy.
Here's the latest image:

The size of the image is 825M.

As for the espeak and orca availability right from the live image,
I believe they are there:
orca is in SUNWgnome-a11y-reader
espeak in SUNWespeak

I don't think GNOME can save your session, but if you need to add
programs that start automatically when you log in, try
System -> Preferences -> Sessions -> Startup Programs -> Add
