As with Solaris 10 ISO images there should be an accompanying .md5sum
text file on SDC, though you are correct that there hasn't been. 
Typically the md5 is posted on the mailing list, propagated through
Jive, which can be searched.  Bittorrent already does checksums, or
rather it does synchronous downloading of chunks where when one fails it
rolls back.
