try to disable the Network-Interface. I've seen such errors on my
Laptop, ata i/o become frozen as soon as i plumb a network interface,
the installer does try to configure network. Since i'm to lazy to debug
this, i carry arround this issue for a while.

You might run into the same issue giving it a try should't take much
time
