Well, Nimbus was designed as a theme for Solaris, intended mostly for  
use on corporate desktops, and incorporating elements of the Sun  
visual brand.  It does all that very nicely, but for now at least,  
Indiana is used (and indeed developed) by a different bunch of people  
and for different reasons, so I'd expect its appearance to reflect  
their wants and needs instead.
