With VMware 6.0.2 on XP only the memory manager and network driver of
vmware-tools work for me after installing in preview2 test. The
installer reports it has no drivers for X.org 1.3. The same issue
seems to occur with Fedora 8 and other recent Linux distros. It
happens frequently that vmware-tools  doesn't work well on recent
distros. Hopefully the open-vm-tools project will improve that.
