Thinking about this more, that doesn't make sense to me.

There's nothing in /var/adm/messages to indicate a connection problem
and "dladm show-wifi" says it's connected to the network.

Doesn't that mean that it was able to authneticate via wpa using psk?

Why wouldn't there be a message in the log saying something like
"unsupported encryption" or the like?
