A bit different case. In Mac OS X, command line utilities are not key
part of system. And what I see here again, the only argument is just -
because it is GNU, not important if it is better or worse, it is GNU
used by Linux. Dot.

(Nearly) No objections against it in case that GNU utilities have all
specific enhacements done in ON for years. Here you are operating with
this premise. What will Indiana do if some utility will need to be
changed in "Solaris view" and GNU upstream will not accept it? It will
maintain specific patches forever? Basic command line utilities are not
just some add-ons, they are key part of the OS...
