sparc machines look like this:

$ uname -a
SunOS xxx 5.11 snv_92 sun4u sparc SUNW,A70

you can also utter
$ uname -p
sparc

if you need to find out whether you're running 32-bit or 64-bit, isainfo 
-kv is your friend:

$ isainfo -kv
64-bit sparcv9 kernel modules
