Thanks!!!  By using the patches referenced in the spec file, and 
downgrading to the 2007-07-31 version of ffmpeg the patches were written 
for, I've just completed a successful build.  The main thing I use ffmpeg 
for is pyTivo.  I have a transfer running as I type this and ffmpeg's 
performance is comparable to what I've seen on Linux and FreeBSD with MMX 
enabled.  I'm a happy camper!!!
