Marty,
I find the Comcast limits being quite arbitrary and depend on how much
other stuff you have downloaded lately, and what perhaps where your
location is. It also usually clears up to some extent after a while. I
tried about 5 times to upgrade and failed after varying amounts were
downloaded. Another thing that surprised me was that it appeared that
the package manager deleted the files (when using IPS) when the download
failed, so I had to download the same files again over and over again.
This may not actually be true, but the package manager always specified
the exact same number of megabytes of files to be downloaded, even
though I had a partial download previously. Now maybe IPS doesn't adjust
the total for what you have already downloaded and they still exist on
my system, but I don't know where they are stored and it seems like it
is starting over from scratch each time.
