So basically (and please correct me if i am wrong)

- pkg.opensolaris.org service will be the same for all comers, subscription or not
- there will be a pkg.sun.com repository which will be accessible only by people on support subscriptions. This site will include non-free and proprietary packages that can not be included on pkg.opensolaris.org

So that leaves me with a question or two:

- Can we get a clear definition of what is the core opensolaris that is supported under the agreement, does it include only what comes on the livecd or does it include additional packages such as OOo?

- What is going to be hosted at pkg.sun.com, please tell me its things like video codecs and DVD playback libraries that will enable folk who need to not violate patents to enjoy such simple things as playing a DVD.

- Are the non-subscribers going to be missing out on security patches and enhancements made available to subscribers? If so to what extent?

I'm sorry to ask a million and one questions but product page on sun.com is so vague that I don't know what I am buying and whether it offers me any value...
