I found the problem, and it's a combination of operator error and
suboptimal GUI design. It turns out that there was a random package
selected under the blastwave repository that I wasn't aware of, and
clicking "Install/Update" silently tried to install that package as
well. The GUI should pop up some kind of confirmation window telling
you what you're actually going to install before it goes off and checks
dependencies. I'll file a bug.
