[indiana-discuss] IPS GUI fails to start

About 3/4 times i try to start the IPS GUI it fails to start and my keyboard functionality goes away. I see a small tab come up in my GNome panel saying "Starting Package Manager..." it promptly goes away and the package manager never starts. The most annoying point is that when this happens i lose all keyboard functionality, luckily i can still use my mouse so i logout and log back in and my keyboard functionality is returned.

If can shed some light on these issues i would greatly appreciate it.
