I am in the same boat as you, however, a bug report was filed and the workaround/fix is in SVN_90 of Indiana or Nevada.

You'll need to upgrade to release 90 on opensolaris for better ESX support.

Otherwise your'e doomed to see only 1 LUN (lun 0) and if you create multiple luns you'll get MPxIO like behavior.
