Hi Jan,
Thank you so much for the explaination. Our solution was interesting. Boot to windows, under 'control panel -> system management -> disk management', delete the solaris partition, re-create an ntfs partition with that space, format it, then delete it, then create an empty main partition. Then boot the live cd and install os 2008.05 onto that partition. It works.
Thank you so much.

Hi John,
you are hitting existing problem in fdisk(1M) command (installer uses
fdisk(1M) for creating Solaris2 partition) - if Solaris2 partition starts
after 4GiB, it can't be resized - please see release notes for details
(bug 6690194):
http://opensolaris.org/os/project/indiana/resources/rn3/
The fix for this issue was delivered into build 90:
http://bugs.opensolaris.org/view_bug.do?bug_id=6690194
As a possible solutions for this problem you might pick up fdisk(1M)
command from build 90 and manually delete/recreate Solaris2 partition,
then installer would use right partition size.
Thank you,
Jan
