Yes, but you didn't try to uninstall those packages at least not from
the commands you showed:
-bash-3.2# pkg uninstall -nrv SUNWsmbau
en_CA.ISO8859-1: unknown locale
pkg: 'SUNWsmbau' not even in catalog!
SUNWsmbau is not listed as installed in pkg list. This suggests that if
SUNWsmbau is installed (as pkginfo suggests, that it was installed using
non-IPS methods)
Also, the packages you list as being installed are not the ones which
deliver deliver /usr/.../smbd, so it's not surprising *smbd is not
present on your system. Now, this may be a problem with the dependency
structure of the *smb* packages, I don't know anything about *smb* so I
won't even begin to speculate on how it should be pacakged.
