Some time ago, I wrote a little script to do that easily (it does the
Right Thing with X authorization to use a regular user's X forwarding
with the root account). It's there:

To use it, just do:

ssh -X regularuser at host

./sudisplay

And you should get your DISPLAY variable set properly.
I use it on various Solaris versions as well as Linux flavours, so I
think it should work on Indiana.
