For the JDS bits, you can use "mcs -p /path/to/binary" to identify
the version number of the component and the build date:

$ mcs -p /usr/bin/gnome-terminal
/usr/bin/gnome-terminal:

2.20.1:JDSosol:SUNWgnome-terminal:i386:2008-02-01:unsupported

Otherwise you can use "pkg info package_name" and look at the
Packaging Date:

$ pkg info SUNWgnome-terminal
Name: SUNWgnome-terminal              
FMRI:
pkg://opensolaris.org/SUNWgnome-terminal@0.5.11,5.11-0.79:20080205T155536Z
Version: 0.5.11
