After installing 2008.05 my resolution was set to 1024x768, I could not get it to 1280x1024. This was not a problem in the prior release, DP2.

I switched the DVI cable to VGA and Xorg started with the correct resolution - 1280x1024.

With both cables connected, xrandr gives the following, indicating that both ports are current?

Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1280 x 1024, maximum 1280 x 1200
VGA-0 connected 1280x1024+0+0 (normal left inverted right) 338mm x 270mm
   1280x1024 60.0*+ 75.0 59.9
   1152x864 75.0
   1024x768 75.1 70.1 60.0
   832x624 74.6
   800x600 72.2 75.0 60.3
   640x480 75.0 72.8 60.0
   720x400 70.1
DVI-0 connected 1280x1024+0+0 (normal left inverted right) 338mm x 270mm
   1280x1024 60.0*+ 75.0 59.9
   1152x864 75.0
   1024x768 75.1 70.1 60.0
   832x624 74.6
   800x600 72.2 75.0 60.3
   640x480 75.0 72.8 60.0
   720x400 70.1

Xorg log indicates this is a radeon Xpress 200G:

ATI Technologies Inc RS480 [Radeon Xpress 200G Series]
ATI Technologies Inc unknown chipset (0x5854) rev 0, M

Any ideas what is wrong?
