The program is called "gdmsetup" and not "gdmconfig" on Solaris. Some
ancient versions of GDM called the program "gdmconfig", and some distros
provide a symlink for backwards compatibility. However, at the time
that GDM integrated into Solaris, we only shipped gdmsetup so no need
for the symlink. The gdmsetup program is installed to /usr/sbin.
Note that on Solaris, you can only run gdmsetup as root, so it only
shows up in the menu if you log into GNOME as the root user. You can
also run it by using "su" from a terminal, and running gdmsetup.
Some Linux distributions use gksu, sudo, or some other mechanism to
allow users to run gdmsetup without needing to login as root first.
However, we haven't (yet) implemented a solution like this on Solaris.
In GDM 2.22 rewrite, there is no "gdmsetup" or "gdmconfig" program yet.
So we will probably wait and see how this gets worked out in the new GDM
rewrite before we try to provide a better solution for this.
