[indiana-discuss] Multimedia plugins in Opensolaris

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the "Opensolaris way" of adding plugins to Firefox in order to watch the various closed source codecs, such as quicktime and wma. I am fully aware that this is probably a legal nightmare to implement but I would like to know if there is a legal and easy way of accomplishing this? I think this is an issue that will quickly raise its head when the 2008.05 release comes out and something that a lot of new desktop users will be wanting to know. I can't really find anything relevant about this anywhere so any kind of info would be welcome.

Having used various Linux distros through the years I am used to jumping through all sorts of hoops to make this work. On Solaris (SXDE) I have previously been able to add multimedia codecs by installing mplayer from Blastwave and then compiling the opensource plugin "Plugger" (fredrik.hubbe.net/plugger.html). Is this the Opensolaris way?

Regards,
Jarle
